It is interesting to see that art can literally be made out of anything. From paints to words and symbols, art is limitless. It's really cool to see that artists can create a picture with words, letters, and even symbols (Ex. &, $, %, etc.) like from the ASCII website. To be able to perceive how a picture will look with just letters is quite impressive.
I did something similar to this in a Typography class I took at my old college. The assignment was to choose a celebrity's name and create a picture of said celebrity with just the letters of their name. It was pretty fun.
I also find it really impressive when artists will use different pictures of people or places to create a picture. I feel like it takes the eye of a painter to be able to recognize what colors will be needed to create different shadows and highlights of the picture.
